That’s going to be an ongoing equation the Alabama football team’s offense must figure out for the three main running backs.
It was the perfect combination in the season opener on Saturday in the win over West Virginia.
Starting running back T.J. Yeldon carried the ball 23 times for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Derrick Henry rushed 17 times for 113 yards and a touchdown.
“That’s how we sort of went in the game planning, to play the game,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said. “We have a lot of confidence in all of those guys. I like the way both guys played. That’s probably, as long as we can keep them healthy and they can stay healthy, that’s probably how we’ll play.”
