CLINTON TOWNSHIP (CBS Detroit) – It was a festive atmosphere outside of local retailers Friday morning as customers braved the near freezing Temperatures to stand in line and be among the first to get an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.
At the Mall at Partridge Creek, iPhone fanatics lined up at midnight and dressed in layers – and wrapped themselves in blankets – to be the first to get their hands on the larger iPhones.
“Gotta get the six plus,” said Krysty Kinsman, of Sterling Heights, who was layered in a couple of sweat shirts and wrapped in blanket to keep warm as she waited eight hours in line for the doors to the Apple Store to open. “Its bigger, there is more screen room for online shopping and text messaging.”
