BEREA (92.3 The Fan) – While Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer refuses to confirm or deny a variety of rumors or reports surrounding his football team, he did shoot one down Thursday.
Farmer did not try to trade Johnny Manziel to the Philadelphia Eagles in an effort to land quarterback Sam Bradford as previously reported by ESPN and others.
“No, that’s not true,” Farmer said of the report.
The Browns did offer No. 19 to St. Louis for Bradford before the Rams chose to go with the Eagles’ offer, which included quarterback Nick Foles.
As for where Manziel stands within the organization after completing nearly 10 weeks of rehab, it remains unchanged according to the Browns GM.
