The Cleveland Browns aren’t ready to bail on Johnny Manziel just yet but Josh McCown is the odds on favorite to be No. 1 on the depth chart when training camp arrives.
Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine spoke extensively about the team’s quarterback situation in an interview with Bull and Fox Monday afternoon on 92.3. The Fan.
Pettine was asked if it should be expected that McCown was penciled in as the favorite to be the starter going into camp.
“I think it’s fair to say that,” Pettine said.
Some might find that to be a bit of a head-scratcher after McCown went 1-10 as a starter last season for Tampa Bay, but considering what they have to work with it may be their best option.
