NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Isiah Thomas is reportedly returning to MSG under the watchful eye of James Dolan.
Thomas has been hired as president of the WNBA’s New York Liberty and “will also have part ownership of the team,” according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
Thomas’ controversial tenure as president and head coach of the Knicks, which included a highly publicized sexual harassment case, ended in 2008. But the 54-year-old Hall of Famer has remained linked to Dolan, who oversees the Knicks, Liberty and Rangers as chairman of the Madison Square Garden Company.
