Browns Exploring Use Of Drone Technology; Test One During Rookie Minicamp Saturday

BEREA (92.3 The Fan) – There was a buzz during the early portion of Saturday’s rookie minicamp session and it had nothing to do with anything happening on the field.

It hovered above it.

The Browns multimedia department took a drone, equipped with a video camera, for a test drive over the practice fields Saturday morning.

Head coach Mike Pettine approved the test run, which lasted about 10 minutes, in advance of Saturday’s session.

The team wanted to test the stability and clarity of video taken using the drone and determine how applicable it could be from a multimedia as well as football operations standpoint.
