Toronto Blue Jays’ Steve Tolleson making contributions large and small to give his team ‘some life in our dugout’

TORONTO — The Blue Jays already have cut Steve Tolleson loose once this season. They took pains to get him back, but with injured infielders lining up to return, they may feel compelled to cut him loose again. But meanwhile, the veteran is making contributions, large and small, to give his struggling team a lift.

With R.A. Dickey delivering a much-needed complete game, and Edwin Encarnacion hammering a three-run homer, and Tolleson reaching base four times and playing superb defence, the Jays beat the Angels 8-4 to split a four-game series.
