(CBS) — Chicago Bears defensive lineman Ray McDonald is in trouble with the law again after being arrested for domestic violence and for child endangerment, according to Santa Clara police.
Police say he was arrested Monday morning at 4:30 a.m. in San Jose, police said. The arrest was first reported by Bay Area NBC reporter Damian Trujillo.
McDonald was signed by the Bears to a one-year deal in March. The lineman was arrested last year on suspicion of felony domestic violence last August and was investigated for an alleged sexual assault last December. He was not charged in either case.
McDonald was released by the San Francisco 49ers shortly after the December incident. Bears Chairman George McCaskey initially nixed the idea of signing of McDonald, but gave his approval after a personal meeting with the lineman.
