Fred Hoiberg officially named Chicago Bulls head coach

CHICAGO — The Chicago Bulls have found their newest head coach.

The team introduced former Iowa State men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg during a press conference Tuesday afternoon. Bulls general manager Gar Forman lauded Hoiberg as a “winning coach” with strengths in offensive efficiency and pace of play.

Hoiberg began by thanking former colleagues and players at Iowa State and then introduced his family.

The new Bulls coach said his family is all “really excited” to move to Chicago and begin the new journey.

“I love this roster,” said Hoiberg, lauding the Bulls’ versatility among young players and veterans.
