FLORIDA CITY — Taylor Gadbois minces few words — most of the time.
Ask him about the offseason battle for the starting job at left tackle, and he says there is no battle.
“I’m going to play left,” he said. “I’m going to be the left tackle.”
There are a couple other talented Hurricanes who believe that. Sophomore Kc McDermott, for example, said it’s his also his goal. Likewise, junior college transfer Jahair Jones has a chance to compete for the seat first-round NFL draft pick Ereck Flowers most recently occupied.
Gadbois isn’t hearing it. “I’m the best player on our offensive line,” he said. “It’s not even close.”
