TORONTO (AP) — J.J. Hardy hit a tiebreaking single in the ninth inning and the Baltimore Orioles recovered after blowing a seven-run lead to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 13-9 on Sunday.
Jimmy Paredes hit a three-run homer and Chris Davis added a solo shot as the Orioles improved to 13-4 since June 4.
Davis and pinch-hitter Nolan Reimold drew consecutive walks against Brett Cecil (1-4) with one out in the ninth before Hardy grounded an RBI single to center. Ryan Flaherty followed with a two-run triple and scored on a two-out single by Manny Machado.
Darren O’Day (4-0) got two outs to win for the second straight day.
The Blue Jays rallied from a 7-0 deficit to take a 9-7 lead on Jose Bautista’s two-run homer in the fourth, but couldn’t hold on. Toronto fell to 14-5 in June.
