Record-setting running back Melvin Gordon was drafted 15th overall by San Diego with the expectation that he’ll prove to be the thoroughbred in the Chargers’ stable of running backs. In the second round, the Chargers added insurance an inside linebacker with the steady Denzel Perryman.
