Robert Kraft Apologizes: ‘Now Regret’ Decision To Accept Penalties

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft released the following statement on Wednesday, regarding the NFL’s decision to uphold Tom Brady’s four-game suspension.

Kraft, who originally accepted the penalties for Deflategate in hopes of exonerating Brady’s suspension, apologized to Patriots fans admitting he was wrong. Brady released his own statement as well, stating he did nothing wrong.

“In light of yesterday’s league ruling, I thought it was important to make a statement today, prior to the start of training camp. After this, I will not be talking about this matter until after the legal process plays itself out, and I would advise everyone in the organization to do the same and just concentrate on preparation for the 2015 season.
